Embodying the spirit of a forward-looking generation, the RMIT Graduation 2023 branding and event design project is a symbol of aspirations, achievements, and shared experiences. Driven by the mantra "Made for Future," we sought to capture the heartbeat of RMIT's graduating class, celebrating not just their academic triumphs but the relationships, hard work, and endless optimism that fueled their journey.
The visual centerpiece of the project – a dynamic typography of "Graduation 2023" – is constructed from memorabilia reflecting students' lives. These tokens, encompassing buildings, facilities, and events, are more than mere objects; they're the building blocks of memories, joys, and dreams.
A celebration of perseverance and friendship, the project resonates with a unique amalgamation of emotions that every RMIT student can relate to. The inclusive design ensures that everyone finds something relevant, shaping a shared narrative that transcends the individual experience.
We treat this project as a heartfelt homage to the student journey, crafted with innovation, strategy, and a touch of nostalgia. The unique approach resonated profoundly with students, parents, and RMIT staff, resulting in an overwhelming reception that celebrated not just the aesthetics but the essence and spirit of the graduating class's shared experience. This project stands as a testament to the power of design to connect, celebrate, and inspire across generations.
